in my jeep i had to devise a system since it's soft topped and i never lock the doors. also has no lock on the glovebox. and on top of that i'm cheap. so i bolted an ammo can the the floor behind the passenger seat, and with a cut in the lid latch i can use a high security padlock to lock it up. once the seat is slid all the way back it can hardly be seen, and with all the other crap in my jeep you wouldn't think it was anything anyway.

The problem I see with taking the frame with you is that the frame, I believe, is what is considered the firearm on a handgun, similar to how the lower receiver is considered the firearm on an AR-15. So, if you're going in somewhere that you can't legally carry, such as a public K-12 school, then technically you're violating the law and carrying a firearm where you are not legally allowed. Now, you don't have a functioning firearm, but you're still carrying a firearm. Thoughts? |
