Default land to target shoot near Ft Collins?

Hi friends,
I'm new here and am curious if anyone here might have some land or a private outdoor range in the Fort Collins area where I might be able to fire my semi-auto .22

Just looking to further hone my target shooting skills and save some money doing so

Thanks!

Benny

The closest outdoor range to Fort Collins I know of is in Owl Canyon. You have to be a member but its not too bad $75 a year I think. Have a look at this link http://www.ncrgc.org/

But if you are looking for a free and open to the public place then there is one near Lyons or the Pawnee grasslands area has one also, but neither of those are very close.

Yes this a very nice range and I am member and you must be a member to shoot there if its not for a match of some kind. Memberships are only open at the first of each year and there is a waiting list every year so get on the list now for next year if you are interested otherwise you wont have a chance.

You can always drive up to the Pawnee grasslands and shoot for free. There are several places set up for it.

Thanks Roy, I presume this is the exact location? Are there targets already set up? I'll be sure to check it out

That is the two most popular, no targets or backboards you need to bring your own and PLEASE clean up. You can shoot anyplace that is safe in the grasslands these are the two closest to the sw edge.
