I have called the zoo a couple times to ask but they guy I need to talk is never there. I will be going to Cheyenne moutain zoo in a couple weeks and was wondering if it was carry friendly or not. I did read about the denver zoo someone posted awhile back, just wondering if any of you had been there lately or ever.

If you have a valid CC permit, and plan on CC'ing, I wouldn't worry about it since it's not federal or public school property.
I'm not a lawyer, but I did eat at Krispy Kreme this week

I have carried at the zoo this summer, I did not see any signs or have any problems.

I've carried there dozens of times.
There are no metal detectors or security folk searching/wanding people and its not listed by the state as a prohibited carry zone so its ok to CC there. Open carry would probably get you asked to leave (but that's just speculation on my part). On a side note, I HIGHLY recommend when you go that you also do the drive up to the Will Rogers Shrine. Most people skip it because its not animal related, but its well worth the little drive. Oh and the new chair lift thing is pretty cool too (but unlike the Shrine, it costs extra). You can get a $2 off coupon by playing some game here. Last edited by Zundfolge; 07-31-2010 at 11:10 AM. |

I've CC'd at the CMZ. Never had an issue.
